Our attitude really is the determining factor in our altitude. Author Charles Swindoll said, ‘I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it.’ We really can take control of our experience of life.

Having the right attitude is about generating the right feelings at any moment we wish to. A positive attitude is more than just vocalising the right words or expressing belief. It is the generation of energy and passion that demands the right outcome. An attitude that is optimistic, brightly coloured, and upbeat is more deserving of positive outcomes. Your attitude is like a price tag, it shows what your value is.

When we go for a job interview we know that if we are to make the right impression we need to look enthusiastic, be ambitious and behave excited. We present the best version of ourselves. The secret is to having good attitude is to behave for ourselves the same way that we would behave for others.

We have all been gifted the ability to exert a certain degree of control over our own attitude and feelings. We are our own worst enemy and at the same time we are the key to every opportunity we could ever wish for. If we want to be the controllers of our destiny and if we want to protect ourselves from the inevitable storms that life brings, a good attitude is our greatest tool. Attitude rises above our circumstances and holds more importance than any failure or success. What can you do today to lift your attitude?
